Wood is a live, organic material, which means no two pieces are exactly alike, and perfection is not possible. Natural variations in grain patterns, knots, mineral streaks, spalting, small checks, the existence of sapwood, and colors are normal characteristics of wood and are not considered defects.

Because wood expands and contracts dynamically in response to its environment, wood movement due to changes in humidity and temperature are a natural behavior. Similarly the color of wood changes over time with exposure to oxygen, and UV light. Some species colors can change dramatically over relatively short periods of time, while others may remain almost completely stable over much longer timeframes.

While these unique elements can be seen as proof of authentic, non-mass-produced craftsmanship, we cannot guarantee exact color, grain matches, or perfect uniformity or stability for any item.

All pieces are made from kiln-dried wood with a moisture level in the 8-11% range (optimal for the PNW). This ensures pieces remain as stable as possible, but the buyer is responsible for maintaining the environment the piece is kept in. Exposing luxury solid wood furniture or other items to extreme unmitigated temperature and humidity changes WILL induce movements. Minor seasonal twisting, checking, or wood movement is an inherent natural characteristic of wood, especially slabs, and not considered a manufacturing defect, or a valid reason for a refund.

Most orders depart our studio within five business days; transit time depends on destination.

Furniture, large items, or custom commissions requiring freight shipments will be arranged on a case by case basis and you will be contacted to arrange delivery.

Flat-rate freight shipping for furniture and large items covers standard curbside delivery. High-density metro areas (e.g., Manhattan), islands, or remote zones may require additional carrier surcharges billed post-purchase.

Duties and Customs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Orders may be returned if they remain in pristine, un-used condition, and are accepted within 30 days with the exception of furniture and custom orders.

Due to the fact that custom orders are tailored specifically to the clients hyper-specific slab selection, layouts, dimensions, wood species, inlays, resin colors, and finishes, they cannot be canceled, altered, refunded or returned once materials have been procured.
